Kayag, Kasadya sa Pasko shines in Braulio E. Dujali ground

The municipal government of Braulio E. Dujali, Davao del Norte was initiating event promoting Filipino Christian culture which values Christmas celebration, a semblance to the birthday of Jesus Christ dubbed “Kahayag, Kasadya sa Pasko”. It was a lighted Christmas decorations’ contest to be mounted at the Municipal Park and Plaza and within the municipal hall building of this municipality. These can be in form of lantern, Christmas tree and manger or locally known for as belen. The participating group can select from among these three (3) categories of their choice.
The entries for Kahayag, Kasadya sa Pasko lighted Christmas decorations ‘2010 were the four (4) barangays of Braulio E. Dujali, namely; Dujali, New Casay, Tanglaw and Cabayangan, the three high schools, such as, Dujali National High School, Cabayangan National High School and Tanglaw National High School, and the farmer’s cooperatives, like the Dujali Irrigators Development Cooperative (DIDC), Sitio Bugtong Talisay, and Dujali Free Farmers Association Multi-purpose Cooperative (DUFFAMCO) all from Barangay Dujali.
“Atong paningkamutan nga sa umaabot Disyembre madungagan nato ang budget allocation alang sa premyo, probably from Php 50,000.00 to Php 100,000.00 aron sa matag category lahi ang premyo. As early as October of this year kinahanglan aduna nay nakahan-ay nga plano alang niini nga programa, enjoining all sectors within this municipality; like the barangay government, DepEd partners, cooperatives/associations ug business establishments. Ang pagbutang ug lighted nga mga dayandayan sa pasko makahatag ug kasadya ug kahayag sa mga katawhan sa atong lungsod panahon sa kagahi-on kauban ang atong pamilya, bisag layo kita sa syudad ipakita usab nato nga malipayon ang atong pasko pinaagi sa atong pagtambayayong ug pagtinabangay. Ang diwa sa pasko mao ang gugma, paghinatagay ug pagpasaylo sa matag-usa.” Mayor Lolita A. Moral stressed during her message.
The winners for Kahayag, Kasadya sa Pasko ‘2010; 1st Prize – DIDC for Php 5,000.00, 2nd Prize – DUFFAMCO for Php 3,000.00, 3rd Prize – Tanglaw National High School for Php 2,000.00 and the non-winners received a Participation Prize of Php 1,000.00 for belen and Christmas tree category and Php 500.00 for lantern category.
